Ghostkeeper

folk surf rockers emerge from the north

I've been listening to Ghostkeeper for a few weeks now and have come to the conclusion that they are one of the most interesting bands that I have come across lately. These Canadian rockers have a folksy twang that combines with a rock sensibility to produce an awesome and fun sound. Their vocals are catchy [as is their sound] and really engages the listener through raspy pitch changes and varying speeds. I cannot tell you how good this album, that would take a large post, maybe later. Check out the first single from their recent album, a great song that combines bluesy surf-rock instrumentals and pop vocals, a melting pot of sounds that blend together PERFECTLY. "By Morning" is one of my favorite songs at the moment. But don't let the song fool you, they do have a harder rocking side evident in the video for "Well, Well, Well." [below] Their latest self titled record came out on March 9th and has definitely slipped under the radar of many people.
