The Dirty Projectors had a great year in 2009 and are releasing a two "new" songs on it. I have had "Ascending Melody" in my iTunes for a while, a studio version came out a while back but a new song is added to this 7". "Emblem of The World" is the second song, new material that is previously unreleased. It is a mostly vocal song besides the solo that breaks out 2/3 of the way through. It would have fit right in snugly with Bitte Orca, before "Stillness is the Move" and after "The Bride". Want to know the best part about the 7"? I bet you thought I already told you . Here goes.
